Canoe Free Style

Canoe freestyle (also known as play boating) is a type of whitewater kayaking or canoeing in which people perform a variety of technical moves in one location (a playspot), as opposed to downriver whitewater canoeing or kayaking, in which the goal is to travel the length of a river (although whitewater paddlers will frequently stop and play along the way). Specialised canoes or kayaks (boats) known as playboats are frequently used however any boat can be used for play.

The moves and stunts are usually equivalent to those performed by snowboarders, surfers, or skateboarders, with the athlete performing spins, flips, turns, and so on. Modern playboats allow the kayak and paddler to become entirely airborne while performing tasks. Freestyle kayaking, originally known as rodeo, is the competitive side of playboating.
